What are the Club Awards?

These awards have been developed by Swim England to help children make the transition from the Swim England Learn To Swim Programme to a club level swimmer. They are designed to reward and motivate members, with the Awards consisting of a certificate and pin badge for each level of achievement.

What's the purpose of the awards?

  • Help new club members transition from the familiar Learn to Swim Awards.
  • Recognise, reward and motivate their progress and achievement.
  • Provide a clear, progressive pathway.
  • Develop and consolidate correct technique.

How does it all work?

When swimmers first join the club they start working on the Club Awards straight away.  With the awards forming the foundation of the curriculum for the majority of the 1st session training group. In order to move up lanes  and start competing in gala's it is necessary for swimmers to pass certain level before they can move up lanes.

Lane 2 (1st Session)

In this lane swimmers work on achieving their level's 3 and 4 for the club awards scheme and their preliminary competitive start award. These levels continue to built on the skills learnt from level's 1 and 2 and start to introduce move complicated and advance skill, in preparation for more high end competitions.

Lane 3 (1st Session)

In this lane swimmers work on achieving their level's 5 and 6 for the club awards scheme. These levels continue to built on the skills learnt from the previous 4 levels and refines these skills and puts them all together as one continued skill, something which is required for more high end competitions.
